Animal Rescue Organisation (ARO) invites companies, clubs, schools, and community groups to take part in our Second Hand September Challenge – a friendly competition to collect as many good-quality second-hand items as possible throughout the month of September.
Whether it’s clothing, books, household items, small appliances, toys or bric-a-brac, your donations help stock our charity shops, which in turn provide a vital, steady income stream to support our work. Proceeds from sales go directly towards providing essential veterinary care for animals in under-resourced communities.
How it works
- Form a team with your school, workplace, or club.
- Collect preloved goods during September.
- Arrange a collection with us.
- Get featured! We’ll spotlight your efforts on our social media pages, giving your group well-deserved exposure and celebrating your impact.
The team that collects the most donations by weight or volume will be crowned our Second Hand September Champions – with a special thank-you from the ARO team and a social media celebration!
