“An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language.” – Martin Buber

ARO is not an animal shelter but we have
a few rescued animals up for adoption.

These animals are in foster care in private homes
as we do not have boarding facilities.

ARO is not an adoption shelter, but is a hospital and mobile clinic welfare organisation. We prefer that the animals we place up for adoption stay in foster care and will not be confined to a cage unless requiring initial hospital care.

In addition to this, ARO does not carry any label such as a “no kill”, “pro- life” or any other “tag” because at the end of the day, ARO staff will move heaven and earth to rehome healthy, well-adjusted animals to well vetted, suitable forever homes. We respect and abide by the final decision of ARO’s senior vet and those who go to heaven are sent with love and respect for the suffering they endured.

ARO is unfortunately unable to assist with the rehoming of privately owned animals or animals of owners moving or emigrating.

So, if you wish to adopt from ARO
please contact Tamsyn Ripsold

These lucky bunnies were adopted.

Having been rescued from a tiny cage, they now live in an open garden!

We follow the same standard practices as all reputable welfare organisations.

Each animal is assessed and vetted before being placed up for adoption.

Applicants are screened, home checks are done and an adoption fee is charged.

Sterilisation and microchipping is mandatory.
