“An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language.” – Martin Buber

ARO is not an animal shelter but we have
a few rescued animals up for adoption.

These animals are in foster care in private homes
as we do not have boarding facilities.

Animals looking for loving homes

Ready to meet his new family!

This busy boy started life badly - having been in a car accident and abandoned by his owner.

He received top class orthopaedic care at ARO and is now ready to make someone very happy. He loves to play, is energetic and extremely friendly.  He will need an active family with other dog/s to play with.

Patches is young, neutered, chipped and vaccinated.

Gorgeous guinea pigs

Four furry friends looking for happy homes

ARO has 4 adorable young guinea pigs looking for homes.

If you are interested please contact karen@animalrescue.org.za

These lucky bunnies were adopted.

Having been rescued from a tiny cage, they now live in an open garden!

We follow the same standard practices as all reputable welfare organisations.

Each animal is assessed and vetted before being placed up for adoption.

Applicants are screened, home checks are done and an adoption fee is charged.

Sterilisation and microchipping is mandatory.
