CAR
BOOT SALE
We
recently held a most successful car boot sale, just to clear out
our store rooms and raised over R3000 in one day. Fundraising is
hard work and can take hours of tough and sometimes dirty work,
but it is very much worth it in the end.

ARO welcomes Margi
as part time fundraising & admin assistant at ARO - the team wish you
many years of hard work...!!

We were recently seen
at the 2008 SA Dog Agility Champs in Cape Town making every effort to
raise awareness of the work we do for our township dogs and cats.
"To those who supported us, well done and thank you - it is much appreciated"
BEAUTY
WITHOUT CRUELTY
would like
to take this opportunity to invite you all to our 2nd Annual Animal
Awareness Day which will take place in Cape Town on Sunday the 23rd
November at the Killarney Race Track Clubhouse in Table View, Cape
Town.

Besides raising funds for our education campaigns, which raise awareness
of the plight of animals in South Africa via education in our schools,
our universities and also to the general public via our Living without
Cruelty Campaign. This campaign, launched in 2007, shows us the many
ways in which we, the public can help animals by making changes in
our lifestyles, such as not wearing fur or leather, changing over
to a vegetarian, or even better, a vegan diet and of course, looking
after our wildlife. Further to that, our campaigns consist of teaching
the children how to be more caring in their interaction with animals
and that becoming the guardian of an animal is to take responsibility
for feeding, look after, loving and of course, very importantly, ensuring
that the animal is neutered so as to bring the population of unwanted
and abandoned animals down. |
